Description
Local artist Tamar Taylor captures the charm and whimsy that is so iconic to her adopted home with her hand-crafted replicas of New Orleans’ iconic streetcars that rumble along the tracks all over the city. The green streetcars travel along oak tree-lined St. Charles Avenue from the Garden District to the edge of the French Quarter and back, while the red streetcars travel the length of Canal Street connecting Downtown by the Mississippi River to City Park Avenue and the multiple cemeteries there.
All of Tamar’s pieces are cast plaster, painted in high quality acrylic, and embedded with a sturdy hook for easy hanging. Because each piece is handmade, they will vary slightly from the images depicted.
This small version of the streetcar measures approximately 6.5 x 3″.
